For Sale: Used Gravestone

Ideal for anyone named Marcus Henry Braithwaite...

If you've arrived at this page after clicking an advert to buy a used gravestone, then as you've probably already realised by now, it wasn't a real advert.  It was just a piece of daft silliness, and of course there is no used gravestone for sale.

The full advert read:

For Sale: Used Gravestone

Ideal for anyone named Marcus Henry Braithwaite who lived between the years of 1934 - 2006.

Don't Borrow A Library Book If You've Got The Plague!

Book reading advice for anyone with the plague...

If you've arrived at this page after clicking on an advert from the 'National Society For Warning People Not To Borrow A Library Book If They've Got The Plague' then I'm sorry to say that it was a fake advert.  There's no such organisation as the 'National Society For Warning People Not To Borrow A Library Book If They've Got The Plague' and the advert was just a piece of random daftness on my part.

Have YOU Been Mis-sold PPI?

You could be due to thousands of pounds in compensation...

If you've arrived at this page after clicking on an advert for PPI then as you've probably realised by now, it was a fake advert.  The fake PPI ad was featured on the Charles Fudgemuffin blog in a post entitled 'Weird Forums Found On The Web (Part 2)'.

The advert begins with the standard formula followed by most PPI compensation companies and promises the chance of thousands of pounds in compensation to anyone who has been mis-sold PPI.  However, the advert then deviates from the usual formula and becomes uncharacteristically honest as it reveals PSLC's annoying policy of making nuisance calls, a policy which many PPI compensation companies seem to follow.

Cheaper Car Insurance

Are you tired of paying too much for your car insurance...

If you've arrived at this page after clicking on an advert for 'cheaper car insurance' then as you've probably already guessed, it was a fake advert.  The fake car insurance ad was featured on the Charles Fudgemuffin blog in a post entitled 'Weird Forums Found On The Web (Part 1)':

It's a daft spoof ad which tricks the reader into thinking an insurance company are going to help you save up to £100 on your car insurance premiums.  However, it's not from an insurance company at all and in fact all the advert does is tell you to shop around and you'll probably find a good deal.

Budga-Bunk Holidays

If you find the same holiday cheaper anywhere else...

If you've arrived at this page after clicking on an advert for 'Budga-Bunk Holidays' then I'm afraid to say that it was a fake advert.  The fake holiday ad was originally featured on the Charles Fudgemuffin blog in a post entitled 'Weird Facebook Likes (Part 2)'.

It's a spoof ad which tricks the reader into thinking that Budga-Bunk Holidays are going to do a price-match or price-beat offer and promise to beat their competitors prices.  However, in actual fact if you find a cheaper holiday anywhere else, Budga-Bunk Holidays will simply laugh at you and gloat about taking your cash.
